The LifeNet of New York program is owned and operated by Air Methods Corporation based in Greenwood Village, Colorado. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) - the highest standards in safety, clinical practice, quality assurance, and training in the industry. Our helicopters and airplane respond to critically ill and injured patients who require the highest level of pre-hospital care for initial scene response and interfacility transfers. Since that time, LifeNet of New York has grown to 11 critical care flight teams throughout the state. LifeNet of New York began with the transition of Albany Medical Center's MedFlight program to a community based model in 2002, with the addition of Johnstown in 2003 and the Westchester Medical Center STAT Flight program in 2004.
